Battle for the Ballot: An Inquiry Based Workshop on Woman Suffrage in Tennessee is a free educator workshop series for teachers in K-12 classrooms focused on the story of the woman suffrage movement and the important role Tennessee played in the ratification of the 19th Amendment. Sponsored by the Tennessee State Library & Archives, the Tennessee State Museum, and the Official Committee of the State of Tennessee Woman Suffrage Centennial, this workshop series will travel to several cities in Tennessee during the 2019-2020 school year. On Friday, November 8th, the Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum will host this workshop in Cumberland Gap at the LMU/Cumberland Gap Convention Center. Please join us!
