October's Tad's Tots event involves a true story from Lincoln's life mixed with a little bit of imagination. Together, we will read Abe Lincoln Crosses a Creek: A Tall, Thin Tale, a story about Lincoln and his forgotten frontier friend. We'll also make a fish craft and a flatboat - just like Lincoln used to pilot!

9:00 AM - 1:00 PM Baseball to Hose Uncommitted Showcase Camp

The Lincoln Memorial University baseball program will host an uncommitted prospect camp at Lamar Hennon Field for any prospective student-athletes currently enrolled in high school. The uncommitted showcase camp will feature two sessions, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at the Railsplitters' all-turf facility. Registration will begin one hour prior to each session at 8 a.m. in the morning and again at 12:30 for the afternoon.
 
Student-athlete prospects will have the chance to showcase their skills, while provided excellent instruction from LMU's coaching staff, for a cost of $110. To showcase skills at multiple positions, campers can pay an additional $35 per position.
 
Currently enrolled high schoolers can pre-register for the camp online

The Lincoln Memorial University softball team will host its annual LMU Softball Prospect Campat the Lady Railsplitters' 100-percent turf facility Dorothy Neely Field Saturday, Nov. 2.

The camp, which costs $125 and requires pre-registration, is put on for ninth through 12th graders and will range from noon to 4 p.m., and focus on the evaluation and instruction with emphasis placed on the skills and techniques used by top college players.


To attend the reigning South Atlantic Conference regular-season champion Lady Railsplitters' camp, print off the registration form, fill it out and return it to softball head coach Ritchie Richardson. Battle for the Ballot: An Inquiry Based Workshop on Woman Suffrage in Tennessee is a free educator workshop series for teachers in K-12 classrooms focused on the story of the woman suffrage movement and the important role Tennessee played in the ratification of the 19th Amendment. Sponsored by the Tennessee State Library & Archives, the Tennessee State Museum, and the Official Committee of the State of Tennessee Woman Suffrage Centennial, this workshop series will travel to several cities in Tennessee during the 2019-2020 school year.
