About this Event
703 Brooklyn St., Cumberland Gap, TN 37724
This workshop will take place on May 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 from 4pm to 6pm each day at the LMU Center for the Arts in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee.
Has your child ever used clay as an art medium before? This workshop is the perfect place for them to learn all about the basics of using clay, using a pottery wheel, and how to create clay projects of their very own. Join Belle Blake, an Artist and current LMU student, as she teaches participants how to use clay and a clay wheel. In this 5-day workshop participants will learn how to use clay, how to use a pottery wheel, and even make a few clay pots of their own. Working with clay gets a little messy, so please come in clothes that you can get dirty in or that you are okay with getting clay on. Come learn the basics of using the pottery wheel for kids!
*Participants pieces will be fired and glazed after the workshop so they will need to be picked up a few weeks after the workshop. *
This workshop will be held in person at the LMU Center for the Arts in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee. This workshop is for participants ages 11 to 13.
Scholarships are available.
