The LMU Players will present

NewworX 2024: a playwright's festival being held November 21st and 22nd at 7:30pm in the Duke Hall of Citizenship, Sam and Sue Mars Performing Arts Center.

This is a play festival that will focus on short plays (written by alum) and also showcase new plays by LMU students presented for an evening to celebrate playwrights. We will showcase work from Earl Hobson Smith (former professor at LMU for 40 years), Laurana Duncan (alum 2019), Katelin Chadwell (2021), Kennedy Buechner (2020), DJ Alexander (2024) and a Jim Appleby (a 90yo Ewing VA LMU supporter). As well as our students from our current playwriting class: Jillian MosesHarper Mills (LMU Tennis), Elizabeth Butler (LMU W. Soccer), and Logan Wilson (LMU Lacrosse).

Show Dates Thursday and Friday November 21st and 22nd @ 7:30pm

Tickets:

  • $5.00. Advance (online only)/ $10 at the door (cash only)
  • Free for LMU students, faculty and staff (with ID) and Children under 12
