We are pleased to present the LMU Regional High School Exhibition. The exhibition will be on display from November 11 – December 6, 2024. There will be a reception on Thursday November 21, 2024, from 5-7pm. Light refreshments will be provided. This exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
This exhibition brings together art made by local high school students from Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia. This exhibition shows the talent and creativity of the local youth and gives them an opportunity to exhibit their work in a professional exhibition space. Students involved come from Claiborne high School in New Tazewell, TN, Cumberland Gap High School in Cumberland Gap, TN, the J. Frank White Academy in Harrogate, TN, Lenoir City High School in Lenoir City TN, Middlesboro High School in Middlesboro KY, and Lee High School in Jonesville, VA.
The LMU Center for the Arts houses the Art Program at LMU and is nestled in the historic town of Cumberland Gap, TN. The Art Program and the Gallery at the LMU Arts Center strives to bring cutting edge contemporary art from local and regional artists to the LMU community. We aim to foster conversation about the place of visual arts and how they impact the diverse community of Appalachia in the 21st Century. The LMU Center for the Arts is located at 703 Brooklyn St. in Cumberland Gap and is open Monday through Friday from 10am-5pm, and by appointment.
