In this workshop, join assistant professor of art Marisa Hricovsky, for a 5-day workshop learning how to create a plushy monster. Participants will learn to design and then create soft sculpture monsters. Day one will consist of drawing and designing. Day two will be template creation and a sewing exercise. Day 3 and 4 will be sewing and stuffing our monsters. On day five participants will add final touches like eyes, hair, clothes, anything to illustrate the character of the monsters. This workshop will take place on July 7th through the 11th from 1pm to 4pm each day. This workshop is for participants ages 11 to 13. This workshop is funded in part by a grant from South Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and South Arts. Scholarships are available.
